The problem we lived

Five tools for one classroom

Our founders ran the schools. We watched teachers scribble a milestone on a sticky note, type it into a binder, re-type it into a report template, keep the child's writing samples in a folder nobody could find, then chase parents by text to book a conference. The child's story was real. The system around it wasn't.

Before

Documentation scattered everywhere

  • Assessments in a binder, writing samples in a folder, notes in a group chat
  • Progress reports rebuilt by hand every single term
  • Conference sign-ups on a paper sheet by the classroom door
  • Directors with no view of who's been assessed and who's been missed
  • A child changes rooms and their history starts over
With Grow Metrics 360

One place the child's history lives

  • Observations, the semester's writing sample, and milestone ratings in one entry
  • Parent-friendly reports generated from work teachers already did
  • Families book their own conference slot from the report they just read
  • Admins see completion across every room, live
  • Every past semester's report kept in the app, infant room to graduation
One platform, three points of view

Built for everyone who raises them

Teachers, administrators, and families each get a view designed for what they actually need to do, connected to the same underlying record.

The report fills itself in as the semester happens

Rate each coded skill in the Fall, Winter, and Spring columns as you observe it, write the semester's observations, snap photos straight into the child's portfolio, and upload the writing sample. The report you already hand to parents builds itself as you go.

  • Observations & the semester's writing sample

Record what you saw, upload the one writing or drawing sample that represents the semester, and tag the developmental domains it demonstrates.

  • Photo portfolios, built from your phone

Take the picture in the moment and it lands in that child's portfolio, tagged to a domain and term. No camera roll to sort later, and no second app. Visible to your teaching team and administrators.

  • Milestone checklists by age band

Age-appropriate indicators are pre-loaded, so you rate what's relevant instead of scrolling past what isn't.

  • No double entry, ever

What you document becomes the progress report and the conference talking points automatically.

Parents finally see the growth, not just the pickup summary

Families open their child's own dashboard: the released report with the teacher's notes, the semester's writing sample, and the full skills record one tap away, plus the conference slots, bookable on the spot.

  • The real report, not a watered-down version

View Full Report opens the same Domain Skills Record the teacher completed, with Emerging, Developing, and Mastery defined right on the page.

  • The moments, not just the ratings

Teacher notes and the child's own writing sample sit right on the dashboard, so families see the story behind the ratings.

  • Self-serve conference booking

Pick a slot that fits around work and childcare. No paper sheet, no phone tag.

The platform

Everything the classroom needs, nothing it doesn't

Six connected capabilities that replace the binder, the group chat, the report template, and the paper sign-up sheet.

Developmental milestone tracking

All learning domains, banded by age from the infant room through Pre-K, with the indicator set switching automatically at age two.

Observations, photos & writing sample

Anecdotal notes through the semester, photos dropped into the child's portfolio from your phone, and the one writing sample uploaded for the term, all attached to the milestones they demonstrate. Evidence, not a checkbox list.

Parent-friendly progress reports

Term reports generated from the documentation teachers already captured, in plain language families actually read.

Conference scheduling

Open your conference window, let families claim their own slot, and send reminders automatically. No sign-up sheet, no phone tag.

Administrator oversight

Live completion tracking by classroom, teacher, and term, so directors can support their team instead of chasing them.

Every report, kept in the app

Each semester's report is saved and stays there. Fall, Winter, Spring, year after year, so a child's full history is a click away, even after they change classrooms or teachers.

The assessment framework

All learning domains, rated three times a year

Assessment is ongoing, not a one-off. Teachers gather evidence during free-choice center play, small-group instruction, and individual assessments across three periods (Fall, Winter, and Spring), so families see the trajectory, not a single snapshot.

E Emerging

The skill has been introduced, and the child is beginning to explore or demonstrate it with significant support.

D Developing

The child demonstrates the skill with teacher guidance, prompting, or occasional assistance.

M Mastery

The child independently demonstrates the skill correctly on at least three separate occasions, without assistance.

Inside every report

One document a parent can read, print, or keep

01 Domain Skills Record

Every coded skill in every domain, with its Fall, Winter, and Spring rating side by side.

02 Student Response Record

What the child actually produced: letters and sounds identified, numbers, shapes, positional words, equations solved.

03 Teacher observations

A written narrative for the term: what the teacher is seeing, and what the class is working toward next.

04 Writing sample

One sample per semester. The child's own work, uploaded by the teacher and reproduced in the report as evidence of growth.

05 Sight word progress

For Pre-K, a phased Dolch and high-frequency word list tracked against each child's end-of-year goal.

Every report carries your school's own name and letterhead. Families see your program, not our software.

Parent-teacher conferences

Conference week that runs itself

The hardest week of the term becomes four clicks. Administrators set the window, the platform does the coordinating, and every teacher walks in with the child's documentation already in front of them.

  1. 01Admin opens the window

Choose the dates, slot length, and buffer between meetings for each classroom.

  2. 02Families book themselves

Parents pick a time from the same place they read their child's progress report.

  3. 03Reminders go out automatically

Confirmations and nudges reach families without anyone chasing them.

  4. 04Teachers arrive prepared

Each meeting opens with that child's milestones, observations, portfolio photos, and writing sample ready to discuss.

Our story

Founded by the people who were living the problem

Teachers and admin were juggling multiple tools to say one thing about a child. We wanted a single place where that story could live, and where families could actually see it.

SD Sandy DengCo-Founder · School Owner & Vision Lead

Grow Metrics 360 was founded by a team of education leaders and innovators who understand the realities of early childhood classrooms, because they work in them.

By combining expertise in school leadership, curriculum design, and student-driven innovation, our team created a platform that simplifies how educators track student growth, communicate with families, and manage parent-teacher conferences.

Every feature exists because a teacher, a director, or a parent needed it first. Nothing here was designed in the abstract.

SD

Sandy Deng

Co-Founder · School Owner & Vision Lead

A school owner with extensive experience in early childhood education, Sandy saw firsthand how teachers were juggling multiple tools to track assessments and communicate with families. She envisioned Grow Metrics 360 as a single platform that streamlines these tasks while supporting meaningful connections between teachers and parents.

KD

Kobe Deng

Co-Founder · Product Design & Systems Thinking

A student with strong skills in problem-solving, systems design, and user-focused technology, Kobe recognized the challenges educators face managing assessments, reporting, and scheduling across multiple tools. He helped design Grow Metrics 360 to be intuitive for administrators, efficient for teachers, and simple for parents, demonstrating how analyzing real-world challenges can create meaningful impact in education.

JG

Jaclyn Glover

Co-Founder · School Director & Curriculum Strategy

Jaclyn leads the development of the assessment framework itself. She defines the learning domains, writes the skill indicators inside each one, and sets the age bands so teachers only rate what is developmentally appropriate for the children in front of them. She calibrates the Emerging, Developing, and Mastery language so two teachers rating the same child arrive at the same place, and maps every indicator to developmental standards, which is why the framework holds up as a research-based tool and still fits inside a real teaching day.

MU

Michelle Uliana

Co-Founder · Director of Education & Program Development

Michelle leads educational strategy and program development, ensuring Grow Metrics 360 reflects best practices in early childhood education. She helps teachers use data and documentation to better understand and support each child's growth, and turns what the framework captures into practical next steps for lesson planning and classroom coaching.

Built by educators. Designed with systems in mind. Made for classrooms.

Questions

Before you ask

The full early childhood span, from the infant room through Pre-Kindergarten. There are two banded domain sets: one for children under two, and a wider one for Early Preschool through Pre-K (roughly two to five years). Indicators are age-banded within each, so teachers only rate what's developmentally relevant for the children in front of them.

The documentation flow was designed to mirror what teachers already do: notice something, note it, and file the child's writing sample alongside it. Most teachers are logging their first observation the same day. Administrators get a short onboarding walkthrough for setting up classrooms, terms, and conference windows.

Yes. Teachers upload photos straight from a phone or tablet into the child's portfolio, tag the developmental domain, and add a short caption. Photos stay organized by child, domain, and term, so the evidence behind a rating is one tap away at conference time. Portfolio photos are visible to your teaching team and administrators only, not to families, and they stay inside the child's record rather than in anyone's camera roll or a group chat.

Yes. Our curriculum team builds milestone sets aligned to developmental standards, and programs can adapt the indicators and domains to match the framework they already use. Talk to us about your specific framework during the demo.

Families get a secure portal where they see only their own child's reports, every semester the school has released, not just the newest one, along with the observations and writing sample behind each. Reports are released by the school when administrators are ready. Conference booking lives in that same portal, so parents never have to switch tools.

That's the point. Grow Metrics 360 consolidates milestone tracking, observation documentation, progress reporting, family communication about development, and conference scheduling into one platform, replacing the four or five disconnected tools most programs are stitching together today.

Not at all. It was built inside a single school first. It scales to multi-room and multi-site programs, but a one-location center with a handful of classrooms is exactly the environment it was designed in.
